With God by our side, we can move mountains
At Kensworth we teach our children a range of Values which help them to work with one another cooperatively and with respect. They learn the importance of friendship and unity, we teach children to approach life with positivity and hope, and to show empathy and acceptance towards others. These Values make our school community happy and harmonious, a fun place, where children feel secure.
At Kensworth every individual is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school. Our Values are intended to support the personal, social and spiritual development of every pupil throughout the school. The whole staff team and all pupils are involved in promoting Values and recognising where others are ‘living the values’. The Values have been selected by pupils and staff as values which are important within the school community and which will be important throughout life.

How we celebrate our British culture and values in school.
Our school is a happy, busy place with children and staff who have a range of faiths, represent a range of cultures and who speak a range of languages. We value the diverse ethnic backgrounds of all in our school community and undertake a variety of events and lessons to celebrate this. We have found this approach to be enriching for all parties as it teaches tolerance and respect for the differences in our community and the wider world. Kensworth CE Academy has clear values based on Christianity and these underpin our vision and our behaviour for learning policy. Our staff, Regional Hub Board and parents believe that our school values include key values of British society such as tolerance, freedom, justice, liberty and community/collective responsibility. (See Values 2 year cycle). Children love to experience events that we celebrate from a range of faiths, cultures and languages, but also love the uniquely British events we enjoy each year. Many of the activities are linked to our role in the village community and in our support of village events/village community groups. British culture, values and identity are woven into our school life and our curriculum in addition as we celebrate the church year we include many events, service and festivals that are embedded within British culture. Obviously dates of some religious festivals change and that determines when some events are held. |
Our Vision
We carry God’s love in our hearts as we aspire to greatness, achieve our goals and stretch our limitless imaginations. Our Christian values empower us to love learning; are the foundations that shape our school community and create future citizens. Feeling happy and safe, we will progress. ‘For nothing will be impossible with God’ Luke 1:37
