Meet the Council
Mr I Shuffleton - Chair I live in Totternhoe and have been an active member of the Advisory Academy Council of both Totternhoe and Kensworth since 2018. I was elected chair in 2019. As a parent with two children currently at Totternhoe C.E. Academy, and a passion for education and our communities, I have the pleasure of supporting your children in their educational journey at both Academy schools. My professional background is within the Construction sector, where I currently hold a Director position within a national organisation and will use my professional and personal skills to help flourish learning at both Academies. Mrs D Mitchelmore - Staff I am the Assistant head teacher. I have taught in all year groups at Totternhoe and currently teach KS2. My background is in science, and I previously worked as a biomedical scientist before my three children came along! I have been teaching since 2003, which I thoroughly enjoy! I am very keen to develop our curriculum and offer a broad range of learning opportunities here at Totternhoe, making the most of our unique and beautiful site and the surrounding areas. I am privileged to be part of an extremely hardworking and dedicated team of staff and Council members, who all want the best for the children in our care, academically, emotionally and socially. Parish Priest Totternhoe Rev. Kaushal David I am the Vicar at Totternhoe, Stanbridge and Tilsworth and commenced this role in July 2017. I carried out my training in London and my Curacy in Nantwich. Prior to this, my background was in youth work and I am passionate about helping young people to develop their own unique potential. Mrs R McParland - Parent Member For many years I was a teacher at Kensworth School and many moons ago, I did my long teaching practice at Totternhoe School. Currently, I have a child in year 1 at Kensworth and after leaving the school as a teacher, I wanted to continue to support the school. As a teacher myself, I have a good understanding of skills needed and the uniqueness of small schools. |
